Let’s turn this into a discussion post. I’m gonna post some questions here (that I see online mostly) and we can ponder over them together.

1. If bacon is bacon and cookies are cookies, why do we bake cookies and cook bacon?

2. Are Oranges named Orange because they’re orange or is Orange called orange because Orange is orange? 🍊

3. Why are iPhone chargers not called Apple juice?

4. Does expecting the unexpected make the unexpected expected?

  2. 1. IDK! WE JUST EAT THEM. STOP MAKING MY BRAIN HURT.
    2. The color and the fruit were both named different things before English invented the word “orange,” so WE just complicated things.
    3. Are Samsung charges called “Samsung juice?” Don’t be ridiculous.
    4. I think the unexpected is expected to BE unexpected so you can expect the unexpected but if the expected end is not what you expected, it remains unexpected.
