Day 14: Something I Am Looking Forward To ~Leaving Homeschooling and Going to School??~ {Maggie’s April Blogging Challenge}

Hi everyone!

Here is Maggie’s April Blogging Challenge Day 14 challenge: Something You Are Looking Forward To.

This topic couldn’t have been set timelier because I have a gigantic announcement to make regarding my non-online life and I was wondering how to share it. Now is the perfect chance.

I’m going to school.*

If you’ve read my About page or enough of my posts, you would know that I have been homeschooled all my life and never been to school except for kindergarten.

This is a huge leap and change in my life. No more late mornings and doing things in my own time. No more taking breaks whenever I want. No more distractions (or less). No more time wasted.

How do I feel? Excited and nervous. There’s a mixture of emotions here, guys.

Homeschooling has done so much for me. I’ve learned to be really independent and it has seriously opened up so many great opportunities for me. I’ve met so many awesome people who gave me great foundations in my friendship. My faith grew stronger thanks to the people around me.

But I think it’s time to move on.

Going to school, I will receive the proper guidance I need to study for the IGCSE exams which I will eventually take. I will also be able to make new friends and meet new people 😀 It’s gonna be so exciting.

This is something I am reaaaaally looking forward to because I know that if this is the Lord’s will, he will make a way. Yes, the future is so unknown. But I’m trusting God to lead and guide me as I take this step of faith and embrace this change.

Homeschooling has and always will be a big part of my life. I know I will never forget the memories I have made in this journey.

Tomorrow is my first day. I will be starting in Year 9, Term 2. Hoping and praying for the best 🙏😆

*it’s not really a school, it’s more of a learning centre with the license of a tuition centre applying for an international school status 😛
