The Inside of Starling’s Brain as She Types Up Posts

Person Typing On Typewriter

Hi friends 🙂

What a long title 😛 Ah well, at least I don’t have to explain my title xD Today, you’ll get a little peek into what happens in my brain as I type posts up.

*Some events have been made dramatic for comedic reasons*

Before Typing Up Posts

Hmm I wonder what my next post will be about.

Eh, I’ll think about that later.

*a few hours later*

Hey, I think I can turn this into a post!

*a few minutes later*

Nah, I can’t think of what I can do with this idea.

ARGHHHH I have no ideas. Why, Blogger’s Block, WHYYYYYYYYYY?!!!!

*the next day*

I. Am. The. Worst. Blogger. In. Existence.

*a few hours later*

💡💡💡💡💡

EPIPHANY HAS STRUCK!

THIS IS MY LATEST BLOG POST Y’ALLLLLLL GET READY READERS YOU GOT SOME AWESOME CONTENT COMING YOUR WAY AHHHHHHHHH

A random flower to throw some colour into this bleak and plain post.

Finally, comes the time to actually type up the post.

*humming, Starling settles down at her computer, fingers poised over the keyboard, ready to make a masterpiece*

Type type type type type type type type type type type type type type type type typeeeee-

WAIT NOPE. Screw that.

*deletes everything and restarts*

*does this repeatedly 3 times, sometimes only deleting several parts not the whole chunk*

Ah, at last. My beautiful post. Now time to check for grammatical errors.

*quickly runs through post without actually looking*

Okay. Let’s publish-

WAIIIIIIIT. I need to check my post settings first.

*types in some tags and stuff*

Woooooh. Okay, new post on Starling ready to go in 3, 2, 1.

PUBLISH!!!

*runs through the published post for grammatical errors and goes back to delete any*

Now I don’t have to worry about my next post for another 3-4 days (which passes by super quickly)

THE END

That was shorter than I expected. Oof.

*random off*

I don’t know why, but I always check my posts for grammatical errors AFTER I publish them. I know it’s not the norm but since when have I ever been norm?

I hope you enjoyed this post, or at least enjoyed wasting your time lol.

What goes on in YOUR brain as you write? Do you check for errors before or after publishing your post? How often do you post?

  1. It takes me forever to write posts too!! It is great to know that I am not alone with that. I actually try and post at least once or twice a week… I dont really have a set schedule though. Thanks for sharing this fun post! 🙂
